About Me

I enjoyed hours of imaginative entertainment while growing up on my grandparents' Central Texas cattle ranch, acting out my own stories to the distracted audience of our cow dog, Happy.

Leaving Central Texas for the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, I started at the University of North Texas as a journalism student but mostly hung out at the campus radio station. I left school to pursue a radio career in reporting news, copywriting and playing classic rock, sliding into a voiceover and acting career. I have been a Girl Scout leader and a Boy Scout Assistant Scoutmaster, working with youth on hard and soft skills, and a committee chair keeping records organized.

Today, I am a full-time, nontraditional student at Texas Christian University, coming around full circle as a journalism major with a writing minor and a certificate in nonprofit arts leadership.

I still love to frolic in wordplay and storytelling. And bluebonnets.
